My big-kid bed: a story to read together

A short story for a big moment, in your child's own voice. Add names if you like and read it on screen, or print it as a little folded book. Let your child help pick the sheets or a bedtime toy. Keep the bedtime routine the same.

🛏️

I am getting a big-kid bed. It is just for me.

🧺

I can help pick my blanket and pillow.

📚

At bedtime we do the same things: bath, pajamas, a book and a song.

🌙

Then it is time to stay in my bed and close my eyes. My room is safe.

🔦

If I wake up, I can hug my toy and take slow breaths, or call for my grown-up.

🏡

My grown-up is close by and will come when I call.

☀️

In the morning, I can say, "I did it!" Sleeping in my big-kid bed is something I am learning.
