A visit to the doctor: a story to read together

Today my grown-up and I are going to see my doctor.

First we sit in the waiting room. There may be books and toys.

A nurse or doctor will measure how tall I am and how much I weigh.

The doctor will listen to my heart and look in my ears and mouth. It does not hurt.

I can ask questions. My grown-up will ask questions, too. The doctor is there to help me stay healthy.

Sometimes I might feel nervous. I can hold my grown-up's hand, take a deep breath, or hug my favorite toy.
