Flying on a plane: a story to read together

A short story for a big moment, in your child's own voice. Add names if you like and read it on screen, or print it as a little folded book. Pack a few new small books or quiet toys, and let your child look out the window at takeoff.

🧳

Today we are going on an airplane. We pack our bags and go to the airport.

🛂

At the airport, we wait in line. Grown-ups show their tickets and bags go on a belt.

💺

On the plane, I sit in my seat and buckle my seatbelt. I can look out the window.

🔊

The engines get loud and the plane goes fast. Then it lifts up into the sky.

👂

My ears might feel funny. I can swallow, drink or yawn, and it helps.

☁️

Up high, I can see clouds. I can read, color, snack and rest with my grown-up.

🛬

Soon the plane lands with a bump. We unbuckle, get our bags and say hello to where we're going.
