How to play
Thread a pasta snake2 year olds · about 10 minutes
You need: a shoelace, large dry pasta tubes, tape.
- Tape one end of the shoelace to the table, and wrap the other end with tape to make it stiff.
- Show your child how to push the lace through a pasta tube.
- Count as you thread them on.
- Lay it flat as a snake; it's for the table, not for wearing.
Builds: moving and using hands and thinking and problem solving. Threading takes two hands working together, the kind of control drawing and buttons need.
Safety: Choking hazard: use pieces bigger than your child's mouth, count them out and back, and stay right beside them. Keep the lace off necks.
