How to play
Face-to-face chat0 to 3 months · about 3 minutes
You need: nothing at all.
- Hold your baby facing you, close enough that they can see your face clearly.
- Talk slowly in a soft, sing-song voice.
- When your baby makes a sound or moves their mouth, pause and answer them.
- Stop when they look away: that's their way of saying they've had enough for now.
Builds: language and talking and social and emotional. Back-and-forth chats teach your baby that their sounds get an answer, long before they have words.
