How to play

What does the cow say?6 to 9 months · about 4 minutes

You need: a picture book with animals, or toy animals.

  1. Show your baby an animal picture or toy.
  2. Name it and make its sound: "A cow. Moo!"
  3. Make the sound again with a big face.
  4. Let a big brother or sister do the sounds too.

Builds: language and talking. Animal sounds are easy, fun sounds for babies to listen to and, later, to copy.
