Toys on the couch: a play idea for 9 to 12 months
A toy up high is a reason to pull up, stand and step sideways along the couch. It takes about 6 minutes and uses a couch, two or three toys.

How to play

You need: a couch, two or three toys.
- Set a few toys along the edge of the couch cushions.
- Help your baby to the couch so they can pull up to stand.
- Let them reach the toys while holding on.
- Move a toy a little farther along so they cruise to it.
Builds: moving and using hands. A toy up high is a reason to pull up, stand and step sideways along the couch.
Safety: Move anything heavy or sharp away from the edges, and keep a soft rug underneath.
