The baby cupboard: a play idea for 6 to 9 months

You need: one low cupboard, pots, plastic bowls and lids.

1. Pick one low cupboard and fill it with safe pots, bowls and lids.
2. Show your baby where it is.
3. Let them pull everything out.
4. Put it all back together, naming each thing as it goes in.

Builds: thinking and problem solving and moving and using hands. Emptying things out is exactly what babies this age love to do, and one safe cupboard makes it a yes.

Safety: Latch the other low cupboards, especially any with cleaning products or medicines.
