Listen outside: a play idea for 3 to 6 months

You need: a stroller or baby carrier.

1. Take your baby outside for a slow walk.
2. When you hear a sound, stop: a bird, a dog, a truck.
3. Name it and make the sound: "A bird. Tweet, tweet!"
4. Watch your baby's face as they listen.

Builds: language and talking. The world outside is full of sounds, and each one can come with a word.

Safety: Keep your baby in the shade, and bring them in if they seem too warm or too cold.
