Box tunnel: a play idea for 9 to 12 months

Crawling through to find you is a reason to keep going. It takes about 6 minutes and uses a big cardboard box open at both ends, or a blanket over two chairs.

How to play

Box tunnel9 to 12 months · about 6 minutes

You need: a big cardboard box open at both ends, or a blanket over two chairs.

  1. Set up the tunnel on the floor.
  2. Sit at the far end and peek through.
  3. Call your baby's name so they crawl through to you.
  4. Cheer when they come out the other side.

Builds: moving and using hands and social and emotional. Crawling through to find you is a reason to keep going.
